![]() Each expedition completed in a certain location will advance the search for a boss, represented as a progress bar under the location's name: once the progress bar is filled, the dungeon levels up, increasing the amount and variety of quests offered each week, and unlocking a boss expedition. To unlock a boss mission, a dungeon has to be explored and traversed several times. If you lose the trinkets one way or another, I'm pretty sure Shrieker is your only means of getting them back.Found the following in the Darkest Dungeon WIKI : These will keep you nice and comfortable until you can grab shard trinket and her court-trinkets (which are also nice - but can only be achieved through champion nightmares, not the Crimson Court). You gain class-specific trinkets per nightmare, as well as some scales - two of the starting trinkets are actually very good (speed boots and +blight-chance bracers). This is your means of gathering more scales once the scripted battles have all been concluded. Once you complete all seven, however, non-DLC zones can be invaded by snake groups. ![]() Once you've cleared all the battles for that respective tier, you will never encounter snakes on resting ever again in that difficulty, so if you've done all three apprentice nightmares, you can camp in apprentice with SB's without any risk of the event ever happening. I typically do this anyway as their toolset can trivialize most of the battles, especially in certain combinations. ![]() It is worth noting, however, that if you bring two SB's to a snake-fight, BOTH will gain the stress-effect as a result. Said fights aren't tied to specific SB's, so you can do them no matter whether you're using one SB or hiring several. There's three in Apprentice, two in Veteran and two in Champion.
